The Tutor AI is an AI-powered learning tool designed to help students understand how to solve problems by teaching the method, not just the answer. It is operated by Esja Ventures Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17354276. Its registered office is 2 Galahad House, Fellowes Rise, Winchester, SO22 5TF.
By creating an account and using The Tutor AI, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The Tutor AI is intended for use by students of all ages, including children. If you are under 13 years old, you must have permission from a parent or guardian before creating an account. By registering, you confirm that either you are 13 or older, or a parent/guardian has consented on your behalf.
Parents and guardians may contact us at support@thetutorai.app to request deletion of a child's account or data at any time.

Explanations, answers, and images are generated by AI (including Anthropic's Claude, and pictures made with Cloudflare Workers AI) and may occasionally contain errors. The Tutor AI should be used as a learning aid, not as a definitive academic source. Always verify important information with a qualified teacher or textbook.
AI-generated images are produced for educational illustration purposes only. We do not claim copyright over images generated on your behalf, and the pictures are produced using Cloudflare Workers AI, whose terms apply to them. See our Privacy Policy for what is and is not sent to generate a picture.
Free accounts are limited to a set number of questions per day and include the Written learning style only. Pro accounts have a higher daily limit and add the Visual and Video learning styles, visual lessons with an AI-made picture (up to a daily number of pictures), and saved history, for a monthly subscription fee. Ultra accounts have higher limits again and use a more capable AI model, for a higher monthly fee. Question packs are one-off purchases of extra questions for Pro and Ultra accounts.
The current prices and the exact allowances of each plan are shown on the Plans page, and those are the ones that apply. Students using The Tutor AI through a school get the paid learning styles as part of the school's subscription and are not charged.
We reserve the right to change pricing or features with reasonable notice. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the Plans page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
You can cancel a Pro or Ultra subscription at any time from the Plans page (“Manage or cancel subscription”). Cancelling stops the next payment — your paid access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and there is no cancellation fee.
If you are a consumer in the UK, you have a legal right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days of purchase. Because access to The Tutor AI begins immediately, we may reduce a refund in that period to reflect the part of the service you have already used. After those first 14 days, monthly payments already taken are non-refundable.
Question packs are one-off purchases of a fixed number of extra questions. We will refund unused pack credits within 14 days of purchase; credits you have already spent cannot be refunded.
If a child has bought a subscription or a question pack without their parent or guardian's permission, email us and we will refund it. We would much rather put it right directly than have you raise it with your bank.
To request a refund, email support@thetutorai.app from the address on the account. We aim to reply within 5 working days, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 days.
School subscriptions are arranged separately; refund terms for schools are set out in the relevant quote or order confirmation. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Schools and teachers using The Tutor AI are responsible for ensuring appropriate use by their students and for obtaining any necessary parental consents required by their own policies. School administrators may contact us to discuss data processing agreements (DPAs) where required.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page; what is removed and when is set out in our Privacy Policy. Teacher, subject lead and school admin accounts are deleted by us on request, so that a class's work is not lost by accident.
The Tutor AI is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
